Inter Miami

Miami won the shootout 5-3 to reach the quarter-finals of the competition. They will now play either Houston Dynamo or Charlotte FC on Friday.

personLionel Messi scored twice as Inter Miami beat FC Dallas 4-3 in the Leagues Cup. Messi's trademark free-kick in the 85th minute took the game to a shoot-out. Teenage substitute Benjamin Cremaschi scored the winning penalty. Inter Miami will host Houston Dynamo or Charlotte FC in the quarterfinals.
Tou Thao
personTou Thao is already serving a 3 1/2-year sentence for his federal conviction. The state sentence will run concurrently with Thao's existing federal sentence of three and a half years.

Fabio Vieira scored the winning spot-kick after Arsenal scored a late equaliser to earn a 1-1 draw with the Premier League champions. The Gunners had not beaten City since a 2-0 win in the FA Cup semi-finals in July 2020. Cole Palmer had given City a late lead with a wondrous strike before Leandro Trossard netted in the 11th minute of added time.
