The exit polls on December 5 had predicted clean sweep for AAP, a distant second for BJP. Arvind Kejriwal said the AAP wanted to work with other parties to clean up Delhi.

Herschel Walker, a former University of Georgia football star with no political experience, failed to unseat Democratic incumbent Senator Raphael Warnock. Warnock's win gave Democrats a 51-49 majority in the 100-member chamber. Republicans still flipped the House, but the majority will be significantly smaller than expected.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) won 134 seats, easily crossing the 126-majority mark. The BJP won 104 seats and the Congress managed to get just nine wards of the MCD. Vote share of the ruling party in Delhi also soared from 21.09 per cent in 2017 municipal polls to 42.05 per cent.

Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP has won the prestige battle for the Municipal Corporation of Delhi. It has won 133 seats, seven more than required for majority in the House of 250. BJP, which ran the campaign with PM Narendra Modi's face, has won 101. Congress has won nine seats and is leading on just one more.
