Romelu Lukaku

United Airlines
organizationUnited Airlines and Delta have canceled some 200 Christmas Eve flights. Delta had canceled around 90 flights for Christmas Eve and Alaska Airlines had canceled 17. Main reason is that the highly contagious omicron variant of coronavirus has left airlines short-staffed.
Google, Lenovo and Intel cancel plans to attend next month's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Google follows other companies including Amazon, Meta and Twitter who have also pulled out of the event.
Delta Air Lines

Daunte Wright
personKim Potter, 49, was found guilty of first and second degree manslaughter for shooting 20-year-old Daunte Wright dead in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota on April 11. She was led away in handcuffs and ordered to be held without bail ahead of her sentencing in February. Potter said she thought she was drawing her Taser when she shot Wright in the chest. The defense have said they plan to put in a motion asking for a lesser or probational sentence.

She said she meant to use her Taser to try to stop the 20-year-old Wright from fleeing during an April 11 traffic stop. She will now consider from the state regarding their so-called 'Blakely issues' – aggravating factors that they say speak to a need for a higher sentence.

personRep. Mary Gay Scanlon was approached by two Black males, age 20-30, who demanded she hand them the keys to her car. FBI agents and state police have arrested five people, four males and one female, Wednesday night in connection to the theft.
Charles Lieber
personCharles Lieber, 62, the former chair of Harvard's chemistry and chemical biology department, was also convicted of failing to report income he received from the Wuhan University of Technology. Prosecutors alleged that Lieber was paid $50,000 a month, $150,000 in annual living expenses and more than $1.5 million to set up a research lab.
