Emma Tustin, 32, killed Arthur Labinjo-Hughes by repeatedly slamming his head on a hard surface. She and ex-boyfriend Thomas Hughes, 29, starved him and poisoned him. Hughes was also found guilty of manslaughter - but cleared of murder - for encouraging the killing. While on remand during trial, she was reportedly attacked by inmates.

Ethan Crumbley, 15, faces four counts of first-degree murder, seven counts of assault with intent to murder and 12 counts of possession of a firearm. He was arraigned Wednesday afternoon in district court and joined via video from a juvenile detention center. The teen spoke in court yesterday only to say he understood the charges. His parents, James and Jennifer, have hired him an attorney who has advised him to plead the fifth.

India's capital New Delhi has ordered the closure of schools and colleges. The Supreme Court criticised the city government for reopening educational institutions. The city government last week decided to reopen schools after closing them for nearly 15 days.

Peng Shuai, 35, disappeared from public view for three weeks after accusing former vice-premier Zhang Gaoli of sexual assault. WTA chair and CEO Steve Simon says the move has the "full support" of the tour's board of directors. Novak Djokovic and women's tour founder Billie Jean King also back the decision. European Union said Tuesday it wants China to offer ‘verifiable proof’ that Peng is safe.

Alec Baldwin, 63, discharged a gun on the set of Rust in October. He fatally shot cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, 42, as well as director Joel Souza. Santa Fe Country Sheriff's department said in a warrant that Baldwin "fired" the gun.

On Monday, New York Attorney General Letitia James released transcripts of Chris Cuomo's deposition, revealing that he admitted to advising his brother, then the governor, on COVID matters. Chris has admitted on air that he helped his brother as he battled the allegations, made by 12 women. But Chris has insisted his involvement was minimal, and he was never a member of his brother's team. The text messages released on Monday contradicted him, showing constant contact with the then-governor's aides.

Oxford High School

Justin Shilling, a student at Oxford High School, died Wednesday morning, the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post. Three other students — Madisyn Baldwin, 17, Tate Myre, 16, and Hana St. Juliana, 14 — were also killed when a 15-year-old sophomore opened fire at the school. Eight people were injured, six of whom are in stable condition, while another two are in surgery. Ethan Crumbley, 15, charged with terrorism and first-degree murder.
