Callously took a photo of him as he lay dying in her hallway and sent it to his father, 29-year-old Thomas Hughes. Social services told Arthur’s teachers they had no concerns about his wellbeing and that any injuries were from boisterous play.

A pistol held by the actor discharged during a scene, wounding the film’s director Joel Souza and killing its cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. Baldwin said he didn't pull the trigger and the gun was supposed to be empty.

Louie French won Old Bexley and Sidcup by-election on Thursday. He replaced the former MP James Brokenshire, who died in October. Mr French paid tribute to his friend and wore his rosette to the count. He secured 51 per cent of the vote in the seat and defended his majority.

Baldwin, 63, shot and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, during filming for the Western, Rust, in New Mexico. Donald Trump had suggested without evidence that Baldwin may have deliberately shot his two colleagues. Assistant director David Halls, the man who handed Baldwin the gun and was standing near him when the tragedy happened, backed that claim.

Ethan Crumbley, 15, faces four counts of first-degree murder, seven counts of assault with intent to murder and 12 counts of possession of a firearm. He was arraigned Wednesday afternoon in district court and joined via video from a juvenile detention center. The teen spoke in court yesterday only to say he understood the charges. His parents, James and Jennifer, have hired him an attorney who has advised him to plead the fifth.
