personBruce Lehrmann lost his defamation case on Monday. A judge ruled that he had raped his colleague Brittany Higgins in a Parliament House office. The 28-year-old was charged with two counts of rape in January last year. He sued Ten and journalist Lisa Wilkinson for defamation over a February 2021 report on The Project airing Higgins' claims.

Justice Michael Lee found that, on the balance of probabilities, Bruce Lehrman raped Brittany Higgins. The 28-year-old stood when the Justice Lee adjourned the matter, kept his head down, and charged from the court.
