Robert Aaron Long, 22, pleaded guilty to four murders at a day spa in Cherokee County. Plea deal spared the 22-year-old from the death penalty. Long still faces charges in the killings later that same day of four additional women at spas in Atlanta.

Green Bay Packers and quarterback Aaron Rodgers have reached a compromise in the form of a restructured contract. The restructuring of the contract will give the Packers more salary cap flexibility despite not causing Rodgers any financial losses. The agreement also voids the 2023 year in the contract.

It is the first time since the 1908 Olympics in London that British swimmers have claimed a ‘one-two’ in an Olympic swimming final. Georgia Taylor-Brown fought back from puncture to winSilver in the women's triathlon. Bianca Walkden won bronze in the +67kg Taekwondo category.

Bermuda hadn't medaled at the Olympics since Clarence Hill’s bronze in heavyweight boxing in 1976. Duffy, 33, was part of a group of seven who broke clear at the start of the 40km bike leg. Great Britain's Georgia Taylor-Brown overcame a flat tire near the end of the bike leg to chase back and take silver.

It is the first time she has lost before the quarter-finals of a hardcourt event since 2020 Australian Open.
