Chauvin put his knee on Floyd's neck for over eight minutes, causing the latter to be asphyxiated. Derek Chauvin, a former Minneapolis police officer, was found guilty on all three counts he faced by a 12-person jury on Tuesday. Video taken by bystanders showed Chauvin kneeling on George Floyd's neck for more than nine minutes. Chauvin was released on $US1 million bail in October ahead of the trial. His bail has now been revoked at he will go back to jail to await his sentencing.

Chauvin was convicted for the brutal murder of Floyd in 2020, whose death sparked worldwide Black Lives Matter protests. J.
