Greg Abbott’s sudden decision to ditch the mask mandate and lift coronavirus restrictions could result in a new surge of Covid-19 infections and deaths. “I just think it's time for individual responsibility as opposed to government oversight,” San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg says. The governor's executive order will take effect on March 10, also lifts capacity restrictions imposed on the state's businesses.
