Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny was detained when returning to Russia for the first time since a suspected poisoning by the FSB last year. Moscow’s prison service has applied to convert a suspended three-and-a-half year embezzlement sentence. Navalny has for years campaigned against alleged corruption in Russia's political elite. He was hauled into the Moscow police station on Monday after allegedly being denied access to his lawyers.
